Team & Community Development
Harmony’s decentralized development are driven by the team (Stephen Tse, Li Jiang, Nita Neou, and more), our 291 validators, our 6000+ community members, and many partners.
Continuing Adoption Effort
The team helped launched the network and the native token in 2019, staking and delegation in 2020, DeFi and NFT in 2021, DAO and ZK Proofs in 2022, Web3 domains and AI bots in 2023, and social games and perpetual derivatives in 2024.
Our mainnet and our token are fully functional since 2019 and will continue by design. All our code is open source, and our progress is publicly accessible. Harmony Foundation reserves tokens for ecosystem development, our Transaction DAO collects fees for user growth, and Emission DAO manages community recovery.
Utility & Consumptive Uses
The native token ONE 0.00%↑for Harmony is for network security via Proof-of-Stake, transaction executions via gas fees, and ecosystem governance via onchain votes.
Network Operations & Tokens
Harmony Mainnet is fully operational since June 2019, now with 8.05M addresses, 802M transactions, 142 deployed contracts, 291 validators, 4.36B ($65.4M) staked tokens.
Governance & Proposals
General public makes Harmony Improvement Proposal (HIP) on our Discourse forum, while delegators and validators approve for network forks on our Snapshot voting. Since 2018, Harmony has 32 passed proposals, 25.3K onchain delegators, 25 community DAOs, 75 governors, and 3B voted tokens.
Open Source & Changes
All our code is open source, and multiple community proposals have implemented in mainnet via validator consensus. We have given keynotes and talks on our technology and roadmap, including ETH Denver, Shanghai Blockchain, Nashville Bitocin, Stanford Blockchain, Day ONE San Francisco, ETH Lisbon, ETH Rio, Web3 Ghana.
Community & Open Development
Our GitHub repo has 66 contributors (among 20 team members), 1.5K stars, and 286 forks for our network protocol. Harmony collaborated with ETH Denver, university professors, Gitcoin grants, Immuefi bounties, DevPost hackathons, DoraHacks events, and many others for open development.
Users & Utility Metrics
Harmony has 142 deployed contracts, 777 trading pairs, 390K Twitter followers, 17.9K Telegram members, 14.2K monthly active users, and 465 education videos. See our metrics on DeFi Llama and DEX Screener.
